Welcome to the InPen™ Smart Start Program
Now you’re ready to experience the insulin pen that fundamentally changes how you manage multiple daily injections (MDI). InPen tracks your data and gives you personalized dosing recommendations.
The InPen in the Smart Start Program can be used for a 30-day evaluation period. After 30 days, the InPen app functionality ends. During your evaluation period, you receive all the features of InPen:
- Tracks active insulin
- Calculates insulin doses
- Reminders for missed doses, long-acting insulin, and blood glucose checks
- Integrates with Guardian™ Connect system for real-time* continuous glucose monitor (CGM) readings
- Works with other CGMs and blood glucose meters (BGMs) through Apple Health app
- Shareable InPen Insight reports
How to get your 1-year prescription InPen
Step 1
When you received your InPen as part of the Smart Start Program, your healthcare provider submitted a prescription for a 1-year InPen, so there should be no disruption in your therapy. (Pay as little as $35 per InPen, per year, terms and conditions apply.†)Step 2
Follow the instructions given to you by your healthcare provider to receive your new InPen and related supplies.Step 3

Excluded participants include patients enrolled in any federal, state, or government-funded healthcare program such as Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D, Medicaid, Medigap, Veterans Affairs (VA), the Department of Defense (DoD) or TRICARE® that provides coverage for InPen, or where prohibited by law. Cash Discount Cards and other non-insurance plans are not valid as primary under this offer. If at any time a patient becomes enrolled under any such federal, state, or government-funded healthcare program, he/she will no longer be able to use this program and must call 844-843-7903 to stop participation. Important Safety Information: InPen™
The InPen™ is a reusable insulin pen for people living with diabetes. It can be used to deliver insulin, help calculate insulin doses, and estimate carbohydrates for meals. Those under the age of 7 should only use the device with an adult’s supervision. A healthcare provider must prescribe InPen, provide dosage settings, and discuss all potential benefits and risks. Using the device with incorrect therapy settings may lead to severe highs and lows. The InPen™ should not be used by those unable to test blood glucose levels or the visually impaired.
