Stopping and resuming insulin delivery

Device: MiniMed^™ 780G insulin pump

Use Suspend All Delivery if you need to stop all active basal and bolus insulin deliveries. You should suspend all insulin delivery any time you need to be disconnected from your pump (like if you’re swimming or bathing) even if it’s for a short period of time. While your insulin delivery is suspended, your pump beeps, vibrates, or both depending on your audio settings. This occurs every 15 minutes to remind you that insulin is not being delivered.

To suspend all insulin delivery:

1. From the Home screen, press , then select

2. Select Suspend all Delivery

   A confirmation message appears.

3. To suspend press the Right arrow and select Yes. The Delivery Suspended Successfully confirmation will appear.

   

4. After suspending delivery, the Home screen will show your insulin delivery is suspended. Your pump functions are limited until you resume your basal insulin delivery.

   

To continue your basal insulin delivery, use the Resume Basal feature.

Note: Your pump starts your programmed basal pattern but does not start any previously programmed bolus deliveries.

To resume basal insulin delivery:

1. While insulin delivery is suspended, from the Home screen, press , and then select

2. Select Resume Basal.

   A confirmation message appears.

3. To resume basal insulin, select Yes. The Delivery Resumed Successfully confirmation will appear.

   

Note: If a temp basal was active when the pump was suspended, it resumes, provided the time is still within the duration set.

To suspend all insulin delivery using the Navigation Shortcuts:

1. From the Home Screen, select the Up arrow.

2. Select Suspend all Delivery.

   

3. To suspend select the Right arrow and then select Yes. The Delivery Suspended Successfully confirmation will appear.

   

4. After suspending delivery, the home screen will show your insulin delivery is suspended. Your pump functions are limited until you resume your basal insulin delivery.

To continue your basal insulin delivery, use the Resume Basal feature.
