Change sensor alert

Device: MiniMed 780G insulin pump

The Change sensor alert is among the most common alarms, alerts, and messages related to sensor glucose (SG) values, as well as the status of the transmitter and sensor. Below explains the meaning and the reasons why the Change sensor notifications appear, and provides steps for problem resolution.

There are several factors that can impact sensor life, like where you insert and how you tape it. For the best possible experience, we recommend wearing it in the back of your upper arm, with additional overtape added on top of the two pieces of Oval Tape. Since our sensors are indicated to last up to 7 days, we include 5 sensors in a box to help make sure you have enough supplies for the entire month.

  2. Change the sensor.
  3. After the sensor is changed, start your sensor.

Second calibration not accepted. Insert new sensor.

If the text on your device reads Second calibration not accepted. Insert new sensor, then the entered BG meter reading differs too greatly from the most recent SG reading. This occurs when two Calibration not accepted alerts are received in a row. To address this alert:

  1. Select OK to clear the alert.
  2. Change the sensor.

Sensor not working properly. Insert new sensor.

If the text on your device reads Sensor not working properly. Insert new sensor, then the transmitter diagnosed a problem with the sensor that cannot be resolved. To address this alert:

  1. Select OK to clear the alert.
  2. Change the sensor.
