Device: 523/723 (Revel), 522/722, Guardian
Important: Before you link your transmitter to your device, make sure the sensor feature is turned on and your transmitter ID has been entered.
After the glucose sensor is inserted and your settings are entered, wait 10-15 minutes before connecting the transmitter to the sensor.
- Once 10-15 minutes have passed, remove the transmitter from the charger.
- When you remove the transmitter from the charger, a green light will flash on the transmitter. This indicates it has enough battery power to last at least 3 days and is ready to be connected to the sensor.
- Connect the transmitter to the sensor. When properly connected, you will hear a click. Do not connect if there is blood on the sensor connection point.
- A green light on the transmitter will begin flashing when a good connection exists and the sensor is "wet".
Note: It may take up to 20 seconds for the transmitter to flash. If the transmitter does not flash when connected to the sensor, disconnect the transmitter and place it back in the charger to ensure it is fully charged. If you still do not see the transmitter flash, your sensor may need more time to wet. With the transmitter connected to the sensor, wait 2 hours and then perform the Sensor Start.
- OPTIONAL: IV-3000® adhesive can be used to tape down and secure your sensor and transmitter.
- Once the transmitter is connected to the sensor, perform the Sensor Start:
- For 523/723 (Revel)
Main Menu > Sensor > Link to Sensor > New Sensor - For 522/722 insulin pump models and Guardian
Main Menu > Sensor > Sensor Start > New Sensor
- For 523/723 (Revel)
- The system is ready approximately 2 hours after the transmitter is connected to the sensor and the green light flashes.
